Nope. The edit only updates the apps already installed and mine only offers to "remove"

Change without information is irresponsible and not intelligent design. I had zero way to add PBS for my mother. Making their operating system useless. You are the only one who provided an answer, and that was deeply embedded three tabs down.

Once you follow the instructions I posted, you will see a tab that says apps. Click on the tab and scroll till you find add apps. Once downloaded you can add them to the home screen. Here are instructions I found on the Samsung website. The instructions show how to install them, add them to the home screen and organize them.

Click on settings > all settings > general & privacy > start screen option > start with smart hub home (toggle off). Now on the home screen you will see three tabs in the middle of the screen right below the advertisement picture. The last one says apps.

webbldr... i followed your instructions.... i have an app area (see attached) where can i search for a specific app now? This is the issue that the rest of us are referring to! If we are looking for a new app... there is no place to search for it.

Once you click on that app tab, follow the instructions under 'manage apps' on this page. https://www.samsung.com/my/support/tv-audio-video/how-to-use-apps-on-a-2024-samsung-smart-tv/?srslti...

Couldn't agree more. I don't think they realize the app tab is missing if you do not follow the steps I provided. I also think they need to put the icon back on the left side of the screen where it always was.

Thank you for what you posted. It helped solve the problem I was having. I lament the missing apps icon as it was so simple to find and use. Now you must navigate a gauntlet of apps to find the one you are looking for. At least I can find the apps I installed and move them to the home screen. Updates should make things easier and not as confusing as this one. Thanks again.
