Smartthings app: "Important Account Notice"

My smartthings app on my iphone has been warning me for two years now that "We are updating our login systems"...

When this first appeared there were all sorts of horror stories about hubs migrating over to this mysterious "new" thing and breaking so, I like many others, just ignored it.

Now we're two years on:

1. Is this important?
2. Can we ignore it?
3. Are there (still) any issues if we say yes and follow the process?

We can understand your reservations here, however, if you're happy that this is a genuine update for the Samsung SmartThings app, we would recommend that you update to it as some of the features of the app may be impaired if using an older version of the app.

While I appreciate the prompt response I'm afraid you've misread my original question(s), which are about the login system not the app
