Smarttag2 - Issues, avoid low power mode

So I thought it would be a good idea to put two of my Smarttag2 into power save mode, only to realise aside from a location within 50m, I have no way to locate, ring or reset them.

So I tried to reset from my account, which has now caused a bigger issue of its now nit mine and saying its registered to another account ???

Couldn't reset them, via Smartthings 

Reset them manually and no its says they are registered to someone else ???

Mine work, I can locate them in real time even when they are in low power mode. They don't let me track them, but I still can find where they are. I love my Smart Tags 2. Maybe yours are faulty?

Did turning power save mode off not work?

It kinda looks like normal behaviour to me. Low power mode makes them only appear on the map. To track them with signal and stuff, you toggle power save mode off first

I can find them, but only to the 50 metres minimum, low power mode turns off BLE and the Ring function

Mine appear on the GPS no matter what.

Strange, power save mode doesn't disable BLE, it just stops the close find features from working. Meaning UWB and Bluetooth distance tracking. Though it does disconnect your phone from having a constant connection with the tracker, only connecting when needed.

If you have 2 trackers set as "notify when left behind" then try to change settings on a power save mode tracker, it can take maybe a minute to connect.

You probably just encountered Bluetooth being funky and coincidentally power save mode was on. Since that mode makes your phone reconnect a lot
