I bought the new S22 ultra with the trade-in option. I sent my old S10+ about a week ago and I have just received a notification saying my phone will be locked in 72 hours.

I sent my old phone back, what can I do?

Sorry to hear that, hope you get everything sorted out before they end up blocking your device, it's definitely common practice from Samsung, I personally won't be buying anymore Samsung devices after purchasing s21 ultra 512GB, my experience was exactly the same, I bought the s21 ultra at release sent in my immaculate s10 via recorded delivery, sent customer service a copy of the receipt proving it was sent to them, I received some emails telling me to send in my trade in device or I will be charged the access £300, I called customer service & they assured me it was a mistake, after receiving my new device two weeks later they sent back my trade in device & took the full amount from my account £1350, even though I paid for the device on PayPal credit, that didn't stop then from taking the full amount from my debit card, so i feel your frustration, hence this is my last Samsung device.
Things purchased from Samsung over the years.
S3,S4,S6,S7,S8,S9,S10,S21 ultra
Samsung buds plus
35inch Samsung smart TV
55inch Samsung smart TV
Samsung smart DVD player
Never again, trust me.

I traded in my fold 2, was quoted £400 plus £250 as it was an android phone, when I went to trade and swap it with my S22, I got £250 plus £40 because the fold 2 apparently didn't open fully, so it bought it down from a grade A to a grade D instantly, and the sensor didn't detect darkness so it didn't switch off when covered (when unfolded, I wasn't being informed properly of what was happening); that, I guess, reduced it significantly further - at this point I had no choice but to carry on - I'd been at Samsung store for the better part of 2 hours already and, unbenknownst to me, it would have been another 2 ½ hour wait as had to transfer data etc.

I was so stoked thinking I'd get my S22 Ultra for around £400 all in after trade in but got done over horrid.

What burnt even more is someone traded in an S8+ and got £150 plus £250 as it was an android! That's what I'd say is disgusting practice, too!

Hello

I brought Samsung S22 Ultras from Samsung online via the trade in route and sent my old device back to Samsung on March 15th and i have confirmation from Samsung confirming the device has been delivered. However just now my new device has been locked.

Samsung have failed. Their process does not work. You follow the process they want you to follow and they screw up causing the customers issues.

I contacted customer service and they are just as bad, i was getting told that or its the way it works.
