Five S25 Ultra Orders, Samsung Can't Get it Right Once?

Hi Fellow Customers,

So far I received 5 (FIVE) S25 Ultra orders, between original and replacements, Samsung can't seem to get it right even once, a 100% failure rate as follows:

- 2 Packages got stolen by the shipping company (Instabox), they opened the boxes, took the phones, and only sent the Buds3 Pro forward (at least I got something!).

- 2 Phones DOA (Defective On Arrival), between rattling S-Pen, Overheating, Coil-whine, and red-tinted display.

- 1 Phone damaged in shipment, it was packaged in a way where protective material was not surrounding the retail box from all sides, one edge was exposed to impact, it seems the package was smashed during shipment, the shock impact transferred to the retail box and created a major compression dent towards the cameras side.

Out of all these orders, and after a month and a half from the original orders, all I got so far is a working Buds3 Pro, which is a brilliant product, very high quality, sounds great, very comfy to wear, and mic is great for calls, I love it!

However, I still do NOT  have a single working S25 Ultra phone, that is not either stolen, DOA, or damaged in shipment!

Is this most people's experience, where Samsung always manages to be sloppy and mess up something? or am I ridiculously unlucky, to have a 100% failure rate out of 5 different orders? not even a 20% success rate where I would've received one working phone out of all this mess? :smiling-face:

It is getting pretty boring, I lost interest in the product, and feel that I don't care anymore.....

That's the problem with DPD. I wouldn't say Currys is at fault here; once they've sent the item, it's down to DPD to honor the delivery. DPD workers are self-employed, so your service is sadly based on the individual.

It's lucky you have such a helpful daughter to assist you. Happy to hear you got it sorted.

This is absolutely the most disappointed story I've ever heard in relation to shipment.

On that note, I ordered several series of Galaxy devices directly from Samsung and have always taken the free shipment offered by Samsung, not once have I ever han any issue, even ordered screen protector which was also delivered by the same company DPD absolutely no issue. You seems like someone who should probably choose the Euro Million numbers and send to me...lol

I think it's based purely on luck of the draw. My DPD driver is always helpful and he calls my number if I haven't answered the door. I've typically had the same driver each year so I know him by reputation now.

This has got to be the unluckiest experience I've ever heard. My typical experience with Samsung deliveries via DPD in the UK has been nothing but exemplary. I never need to order with any specific time delivery and always select free delivery, as they've never failed to deliver promptly and on time over the last 5 years (in many cases early). I hope you get your new device soon and in working order.

Hi guys, sorry for the late response,

All orders were made from Samsung Sweden, part of Samsung Electronics Nordic, directly from Samsung.com eShop,

Two shipment companies were used (not all issues were shipment-related😞

1- Instabox: the first two shipments where phones got lifted (stolen) out of the boxes.

2- Bring: After I agreed with Samsung to NOT send anything with Instabox, they switched to Bring, the theft stopped at this point, but one damaged shipment out of 3 occurred with this one.

Now are all 5 incidents Samsung's faults? a quick analysis:

- The two stolen phones, are technically Samsung's fault for having a logistics partner with criminal employees, however, a while after these incidents, Samsung removed Instabox as a shipping option from their eShop, that is a positive point, I believe 100s of phones were stolen before Samsung stopped using them.

- The two DOA phones, this is a QA/QC (Quality Assurance) issue at Samsung factories, which is nothing new in my experience, I historically received many defective Samsung products, that were not sufficiently quality assured before leaving the factory, their QA process needs to be tighten in my opinion.

- The one damaged in shipment phone, is for sure Samsung's warehouse fault with their packing standards, had the same wrapping material been distributed differently, to wrap around the entire phone and protect it from ALL SIDES, this outer impact would have NOT transferred to the phone, and would have just deformed the outer package.

The entire case has now been escalated to a higher up team, which is now discussing options, so they are actively supporting, but it is still boring with so many "mess ups" that ruined the whole experience, I went from being super excited to now looking into Xiaomi, Pixel, and iPhone 😞

Thanks for the response, this is bad, putting aside the courier stealing (we get that in the UK with DPD), but the DoA is bad, glad to hear it's escalated.

Totally understand your position, I would be hopping mad 😠
