Delayed pre-order - Compensation?

I'm assuming most of us have got an email about the delay of delivery, but has Samsung (if they ever did) made or offer any compensation for such a ridiculous delay?

I completely get it - the dates were changing all the time the day after launch. As frustrating as it probably is, I import stuff at work & have had several delays firstly from the Red Sea troubles & then Storm Isha that have meant our customers aren't getting goods when they initially thought they would be... I'm not saying Samsung are right by giving hardly any notice, but I can kind of understand how they'd be optimistically expecting their deliveries like the rest of us. Try & be nice...

Well I have sold my phone privately because I got more than Samsung! Even mazuma and all the other recycles were offering more than Samsung!

The customer care is what's annoyed me most that you get run around and no one wants to say sorry! It's disgusting! The fact of matter is they have taken £1290 of my money and I have nothing! If they only took money when despatched slightly different!

What phone were you selling? I can't really fault Samsung for the trade-in prices they were all way higher than what i could find elsewhere

No I sold it to be picked up on Friday. Because NO one when I purchased from Samsung told me its a estimated Delivery date! Considering I paid deliver before 10am I never expected it!

I get that and it is not very acceptable. I have been there before too. But once bitten twice shy and I made a wise choice avoiding preordering this year.

Unfortunately it really does happen on every preorder... whether the amount of loading on DPD couriers is under estimated... or the demand pf preorders out weighs the supply... not sure.

To compound further pain... it is not always the most stable software with a 'brand new tech pre-order' and the software can often take a few months to stabilise. Again the s21 ultra was pretty bad on first release... unstable... battery drain... heating issues. All resolved after a couple of updates. I hope the S24U is stable upon release !
