Thanks, I've already tried that and it doesn't work anymore.
Specifically this:
"1. connect M31 with USB cable to computer (not just the charger) 2. power off 3. hold down volume up + power key (top and bottom key on the right hand side of the phone) until ... 4. "Android Recovery" menu appears"
... no va. 😞

Here's my 2cents @Smartiepie
> Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files. There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too.

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.
I'm here to help. " This is the way. "

Switched the PC and now it works somehow.
POWER and UP key need to be pressed for 8-10 seconds until Android Recovery menu appears.
