So basically my mother was uninstalling a few apps on her Samsung A55 5G phone, when it started vibrating a bit then it crashed and turned off. Each time I try to start it and I enter the PIN, the phone would freeze and turn off again. I tried starting it up in safe mode, same thing happens, as I enter the PIN to unlock it it just reboots. I can't get it to stay off either, in order to access recovery mode and wipe the partition cache. Would waiting for the battery to be empty and then as I plug it in try to enter recovery mode work? Could the motherboard be fried? Also when I try to unlock it sometimes a multicolored line shows up on the screen as it freezes for a minute and then reboots. Shutting it down also takes 1-2 minutes and then automatically starts up again.

Edit: Failed to mention that somehow the phone got into airplane mode on its own. There's also a warning triangle notification, but I can't read what it says because the notification messages are hidden

Hello 👋 @Members_F8zGUnH

Was it just typical apps from the PlayStore that have been removed ?

In regards to clearing the phone's System Partition Cache Files.

  • Clear Cache Files from the phone's System Partition Section  > https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/how-do-i-clear-the-cache-on-my-device/ You may need to insert your earphones or hook upto a powered On Laptop or use a Tv's USB Port or a usb-c to usb-c phone to phone set up to access the Clear Partition Section. This may help with lag or stutters as this clears the phone of old/unused or broken cache files.There is also a Repair Apps option in the Menu System too { Possibly excluding the s²⁴ Series of phone's }

https://www.hardreset.info/devices/samsung/samsung-galaxy-a55-5g  may help.

Another option is a Factory Reset however if you can get the phone to go through this process then set the phone back up manually i.e no back up.

May I suggest to perform a forum search as you may find already existing threads with help and advice within.

A Samsung Service Centre can assess the phone > Samsung Repair Link.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

Yes, it was just everyday miscellaneous apps

The problem with the clearing of the partition cache is that I can't get the phone to stay off. It just automatically restarts and I can't get it into recovery mode. Tried it like that, with the phone already plugged in to my laptop, all I got was a [PDP] failed setup wizard notification

I think I'll wait for the phone's battery to die completely then try it this way. There are some important things on that phone so I'll try to avoid a factory reset for now
