New Update UI 6.1 touch screen unresponsive on S21

After installing the latest update on both phones (S21 5G and S21 5G Ultra 512 GB 16 RAM) the touchscreen became unresponsive. I noticed that the date automatically was changed on both phones to 3rd May 16.00.

The only thing that is working are sides buttons. 

I managed to start the recovery console using:
 1. Side button + Volume down to restart the phone
2. Then very quick I change to Side button + Volume up

I wiped the cache partition and also performed a factory reset on S21 5G but unfortunately did not solve the issues. The only change is that the phone is starting the setup (with a padlock locked on top left corner) a new phone but I cannot interact to set it up.

I assume that the main and major issues are with UI.6.1

Is there anything I can do for downgrading the android/UI and recover the information I have on S21 Ultra?

I hope that there is a quick solution as it is so frustrating for having two top phones and to not be able to use any of them. At the moment I'm lucky to have an A70 with older android and UI but I'm thinking of leaving Samsung after many years and products and not buy any other.

I completely understand your frustration as I am in the same situation with two Samsung phones. Until Samsung will wake up I decided to move on the other side, Apple. I'm pretty sure that I am not the only one that lost his love for Samsung afer about 20 years and thousand of pounds spend. Dear Samsung, if you consider us ***** and try to blame us for something you have made and also continously apply different restrictions, remember that we have options. The market is huge with plenty of products, some of them even better considering specific aspects.

Does SAMSUNG acknowledge the concern? This been running for a month right now and they don't give any hints if they will resolve the issue or not!!

Best solution is replacing the screen. I just try with new screen, its work. When go back current screen, screen not responding

Thank you for letting us know about pushing forward repairs at high costs and not allowing 3rd parties products. When I replace the S21 screen I was quoted about £250 for original and the 3rd party item was £65 and I changed myself. Same for S21 Ultra. I changed it myself with £83 and everything worked perfect until the last UI6.1 update.

I think samsung pushing non original restrictions on new update.  Or screen is damaged during update.

I think you're right on both statement. They indeed pushing restrictions on non original products as is my case and I'm not very happy with this, but I noticed that the update made unresponsive the original screens as well that I consider is an uncceptable situation. Also, not issuing a quick update to fix this is definitely lack of respect shown to their users.

They just have to release a new update which makes our screen capable or this new update just like before but they are not resolving this urgently.

I think replacing a new screen is not a genuine solution for this problem as this is their fault for not letting us know that this will happen after this update. and why they allowed us to use 3rd party screen for the first time.

I think that this is not a big problem for them to resolve this issue as screen was compatible before so they just have to launch an update like before which allowed us to use touch.

and in my opinion, people will prefer to switch on Apple or any other companies as market is full of them, rather then buying a new screen for only this simple software update which was made by Samsung and they are not willing to resolve it. 

This is a big disappointment as they are now blaming us for update which was released by them. 

Please if any Samsung worker is watching these messages, Please consider this as a big issue and try to resolve this as people are already switching to the other companies as this simple updated caused touch to be irresponsive.  Please fix this.....

I believe that if this issue is not resolved quickly then after a while, Samsung will collapse as not every user will buy a original screen for this as there are cheap screens available in market.

Screen is the main component of a mobile and it breaks. IT IS A GLASS AND IT BREAKS. and when it will break, people will have to buy a new and original screen for this.

For that reason, People will prefer to use other mobiles rather than Samsung as they are not making this type of restriction policy.
