New Update UI 6.1 touch screen unresponsive on S21

After installing the latest update on both phones (S21 5G and S21 5G Ultra 512 GB 16 RAM) the touchscreen became unresponsive. I noticed that the date automatically was changed on both phones to 3rd May 16.00.

The only thing that is working are sides buttons. 

I managed to start the recovery console using:
 1. Side button + Volume down to restart the phone
2. Then very quick I change to Side button + Volume up

I wiped the cache partition and also performed a factory reset on S21 5G but unfortunately did not solve the issues. The only change is that the phone is starting the setup (with a padlock locked on top left corner) a new phone but I cannot interact to set it up.

I assume that the main and major issues are with UI.6.1

Is there anything I can do for downgrading the android/UI and recover the information I have on S21 Ultra?

I hope that there is a quick solution as it is so frustrating for having two top phones and to not be able to use any of them. At the moment I'm lucky to have an A70 with older android and UI but I'm thinking of leaving Samsung after many years and products and not buy any other.

It seems that we are facing a general problem in expensive devices and they have no solution so far, and all the solutions offered are primitive

I called and spoke with Samsung customer service and was recommended to check Samsung official services. I will pop in and check with their engineer to make a quote for fixing this issues. Keep in touch.

I have an s21 Ultra with an aftermarket touch screen, and after the update, my touch screen doesn't not work with my finger, only an s pen.. I've contacted samsung, they've told me to try certain things (which did not work) and if that doesn't work go to a certified samsung dealer, to which i did.. He told me there is nothing they can do to fix the phone as it is, i would have to replace to screen with an original samsung, which would cost more than the phones worth!

I hope its only a matter of time before someone comes up with a fix. I've tried flashing an old version, but it just won't work..  Back to the old LG thinq for now.

I did not change the screen, but I have the same problem here with a S21Ultra (from USA) bought on RAKUTEN... I download the last version "Android 14 One UI 6.1" and the display screen does not work anymore... it works with a mouse on OTG USB... but I need, as you need, a real solution from Samsung... I called them and they told me: no answer, sorry, we cannot fix that because the S21 comes from USA... they are kidding, now ? ...  what a shame... If anyone as an answer... I would be happy

I have the same issue, my s21 was bought brand new on 20 April 2024, everything is stock Samsung as came out of the sealed box. I have tried clearing cashe and factory reset, but no luck the touch screen not working. Hoping of a solution soon...

Sorry but I had a very busy family time last days and I did not had time to go to the service. Regarding downgrading the android all of my attempts were unsuccessful.

And as for the Samsung management team. I was never such as disappointed with Samsung as now. What's the matter? Are you trying to blame your users for this problem.. We launched this update? What was before this update?.. My phone touch screen was working smoothly before until this update.. Did you mentioned that if there's a third party screen replacement then do not update, your screen will be unresponsive? and as for me, it doesn't  really matter. My screen was working fine before this update. I have a big question for your answer. Why my screen was working fine before this new update? It was a miracle or what? and now, Why we are responsible for this software issue.

Same issue is happening with me. After this update, my touch screen got unresponsive and we cannot downgrade also. I have to connect a mouse with my mobile to operate it. and also, I have the same phone.

Sir, Please do something urgently, this is becoming a big issue, touch is unresponsive after this update. Please launch an update to sort this out as this is not a hardware issue which requires a hardware maintenance. This is simply a software issue which was made by you guys in this new update. I can suggest that please launch an update urgently in which we can downgrade software or else make our screen compatible with this update of One UI 6.1 just like before this update.

Please put this issue as a major issue as we can not operate our mobile phone's touch until you guys launch a new update to fix this bug.
