After installing the latest update on both phones (S21 5G and S21 5G Ultra 512 GB 16 RAM) the touchscreen became unresponsive. I noticed that the date automatically was changed on both phones to 3rd May 16.00.

The only thing that is working are sides buttons.

I managed to start the recovery console using:
 1. Side button + Volume down to restart the phone
2. Then very quick I change to Side button + Volume up

I wiped the cache partition and also performed a factory reset on S21 5G but unfortunately did not solve the issues. The only change is that the phone is starting the setup (with a padlock locked on top left corner) a new phone but I cannot interact to set it up.

I assume that the main and major issues are with UI.6.1

Is there anything I can do for downgrading the android/UI and recover the information I have on S21 Ultra?

I hope that there is a quick solution as it is so frustrating for having two top phones and to not be able to use any of them. At the moment I'm lucky to have an A70 with older android and UI but I'm thinking of leaving Samsung after many years and products and not buy any other.

Thank you.

Same problem. I have done a roll back to version 6.0 and it works perfectly.  This morning 6.1 installed at 5am and now my screen doesn't work.  My s pen works. I buy aspen pro. Since April this bug isn't fixed. Phone from Rakuten in France. US version. Now I can't go back because of bit version 11. Odin can't install older version.

Someone has a solution? I have tried all the tips in Google. Lost my day because of 6.1!

How did you rollback it to 6.0? Seems to be the only way at the moment, saw some tutorials using Odin but nothing straightforward, I'm not sure if I'll try this, although it can't be much worse than it is now.
Other option wait for 6.1.1  hoping it will fix it 😕

I downloaded it from Sammobile. Use Odin to flash. It worked on my phone.

Thanks, Build number UP1A.23.....  so I assume it's A version, I will proceed as described above, seems to be the only option to get the phone back immediatly 😕

The quickest solution you have now is that but after you may able to pull this off- the update will always pop out for an upgrade.

We just want to hear from SAMSUNG OFFICIAL what are they gonna do about this? cause the community doesn't feel that they're working something on this and as far as I know- 15000+counting raising this kind of concern and we're just not talking for a cheaper phone that has an issue.

So I hope dearly hope, that SAMSUNG OFFICIALS can read this....

Roll back works only with 6.1 in 10 bits. 2 last version are in 11 bit. All solutions don't work. Just wait for a fix by Samsung.  I use a note 9 spen and it works.  It's a shame for a phone like s21 ultra.

No hope till SAMSUNG OFFICIAL will do something about this.

Do we need to email the COO of SAMSUNG? cause all service agent just tell to go visit their store so their technician can check check your phone and after a few minutes they will ask you to replacement your screen even though the issue is the software. If you have the means, congrats it's like you buy a new phone for half a price. Another sale of SAMSUNG!
