Hello,
I've unfortunately started having an issue with my Galaxy S21 today: I use Face, Fingerprint and Pattern to unlock my screen, however, the latter has stopped working all of a sudden. I just get the usual error message of "Pattern not recognized", but I am certain that it is the correct one, since I've been using the same pattern for over 8 years across different phones. Thankfully, I'm able to get in via the other unlock options so far, but of course I cannot change from the pattern to a different type of unlock-method without the current pattern working and I'm afraid of getting locked out completely at some point.
Is this a bug/known issue? If so, is there any known workaround? Can I somehow change the unlock method to a PIN-Code? Or do I just have to back up my data and perform a factory reset?
I would be more than glad for any help with this, since I'm pretty much at my wit's end here. Thanks in advance!

Hi, thanks for your answer! Unfortunately, I cannot seem to delete the existing pattern in settings without drawing and confirming the existing one first (which is still not working sadly).

Same here. I got locked out of my S22 Ultra over a year ago and I still can't get in. It SHOULD be a well known bug as many people as this has happened to over the years but the tech always acts clueless. It's worth trying Samsung's find my phone and trying the unlock before you reset. Apparently resetting will sometimes disable that nifty feature and it just so happens your phone resets when updating.
Does your pattern involve overlapping a dot? If it does, look closely when you're overlapping as in my situation it will never connect to the same dot again. If you notice this happening, I suggest you quickly soft reset by using volume/sleep buttons, otherwise it'll declare the password is wrong and increase the timeout.
