Changed default browser but still only open in samsung internet

I am on a website from a link in an email. I want to open it in chrome. I have already changed my default browser to chrome but when I press the 3 dots it still says open in samsung internet.

If you changed the default to chrome restart the phone and see if it helps or uninstall Samsung Internet

I am having the same problem, but only when clicking links in the Washington Post app. My default browser is Firefox. I even uninstalled Samsung Internet, but when I click on a link it asks me to install Samsung Internet instead of using Firefox to open the link. 

This is not cool.

I just started having this problem. Edge has always been my default browser. When, i went to check the setting after the issue, it still said edge is my default browser. Links keep trying to open in samsung internet. effectively, has bricked my phone for internet use, unless i give in and accept all samsung's terms of use and use their browser. I will throw my phone in the garbage before i agree to all those dumbass TOS clauses.
