Hello,
I use Galaxy S22 Ultra. I have defined a routine that I trigger manually when I am in my office.
One of the actions in this routine is to switch Network Mode from "4G/3G/2G (auto)" to "3G/2G (auto)" because 4G/LTE reception in my office area is very poor and my mobile phone constantly keeps trying to get a better 4G signal reception hence higher battery drain.
I realized that with a recent update - either OS update or 'Modes and Routines' app update - has broken switching Network Mode feature such that starting this routine manually does not switch Network Mode from "4G/3G/2G (auto)" to "3G/2G (auto)" anymore.
Upon checking further, it appears that action 'Network Mode' has completely disappeared when I try to add this action in a brand new Routine. This action used to be in action group 'Connections' previously.
Please check the screenshot of my existing routine that uses action 'Network Mode'....
Is anyone else facing similar issue and potential fix for the same..? Switching Network Mode via a routine was very convenient for me and it saved my battery upto 25% on a given day - so I need this working back badly.
Any help or suggestion is highly appreciated.
With Regards,
Dhaivat.

I have the exact same issue on Galaxy S21+ device after recent August software update. Network mode option is completely gone.

I too used to have a 5G network mode routine for easily toggling 5G on and off for battery saving purposes. Since the most recent update 'network mode' has disappeared.
Why Samsung? Why???

Looks like this is not going to be addressed by Samsung. 😔

Same problem here on the s23 ultra. I did a factory reset on the phone and the network mode option came back. It worked for about a week and the network mode disappeared once again

guys i think i found the solition to this. The problem for me was the power saving mode.
If you are using power saving mode you should go to power saving settings and disable that toggle that says "turn off 5G".
It fixes the issue. I hope this helps this thread

I found another thread on the same topic - https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Discussions/Can-t-Change-Data-Using-Routines/td-p/2622295. Surprisingly One UI team responded to this thread saying that they will consider this suggestion to be implemented in one of the next releases..! Someone at Samsung should realise that they broke a working feature used by many customers without any notice and now they are claiming that they will consider to implement it. Speechless for an amazing customer support by Samsung..!

Worked also for me, even if I was just trying to switch from 3G/2G to 4G. Very bad design lol
Thanks so much!
