I'm experiencing an issue with Google Wallet on my Samsung A54 that started around the beginning of May 2025. Prior to this, I was using the service without any problems.
Here's what's happening:
- Unable to add new cards: I can no longer add any new payment cards to my Google Wallet.
- Existing cards not working for payments: My previously added cards, which have sufficient funds and work fine for direct purchases, are no longer usable for payments through Google Wallet.
- NFC functionality seems okay: I've tested the NFC on my phone, and it's able to read other cards, such as my public transport card, suggesting the NFC hardware is functioning.
- Other passes work: Other passes stored in my Google Wallet, like my medical insurance card and public transport card, continue to work without issues.
I have been passively aggressively referred to Samsung by Google support 🙂

Is it indeed Samsung related problem, that got to be fixed by Samsung?
