How to link my Google account onto my Samsung account?

Hi,

So I tried to connect my Samsung account with my Google account but my Samsung ID is Hotmail

It says it's connected but the Google button is off and everytime I press is on ("so it's connected"). It asks me to set it up.

 

  Help please?

Cause I'm having problems with connecting my calendar with my Google, Samsung and the apps associated with them.

I think you go into your calendar, settings, and add your Gmail account. You should get a Google message asking for permission. Check you have notifications enabled for Google or you might not get the validation messages?. I have Hotmail as my default calendar and it is integrated with my other accounts. I don't recall connecting accounts. I just added the accounts to my phone but I connected and synced calendars and mail via the apps I was using. Hope this helps

Nope. I have the exact issue this question is asking about. This is not an answer. The guy clearly has screenshots of what our problem is. For some reason we are getting a pop-up message when we attempt to turn on connecting our Gmail to our Samsung accounts the pop-up says our Gmail is already hooked up to an account; it should be hooked up to our own. However, we're getting this error message and we are unable to link our Gmail due to this message that is obviously an error. Please fix this.
