Close my old samsung account to open a new one.

Can any one help it's impossible to talk to any one at samsung

When you set up the phone, just create a new user login ? This should start a new samsung account.

Once you have the framework for a new account set up, then you can use a web browser to login to your old account... select manage... and then delete.

It should be a simple transition.

You need to log out of your old account to open a new one because setting up a new one if will you the password of the old account in order to do so, so it's not as straight forward as smiley as told you.

Too true. Just when I think im getting there it goes back to my password which I cannot remember. Think it'll be easier to forget all about it. Funny how you can't talk to anyone until you tell them you want to buy a new phone ! Thanks for your help

Wow at last someone from samsung who knows the answers thank you. I really have tried everything I can and just when I think im getting there it asks for the password I cannot remember and it's going to send the password to a dead email address. I will give them a call tomorrow. Thank you so much. Chris.

The original description did not mention it was a forgotten password issue. This obviously has further problems. You may be able to reset your password using a PC and two factor authentication.

I think you are on the right track now, so good luck in resolving your forgotten password.

Hey thanks smiley. Not only a forgotten password but a dead email address too. I'll let you all know how I get on once I spoken to them tomorrow. I thought I'd mentioned the forgotten password. Opps. Thanks for your reply. Cheers

If you go to Accounts and Settings-Samsung Account-Profile-Profile Information-Account ID-Email.  Tap on that, is there an option to change email?

Otherwise could try via the web as suggested where there should be a number of options https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/apps-services/recover-your-samsung-account-id-and-reset-your-pass...

However if issues with accouns can not be sorted the Accounts Teram is the port of call.
