Could you confirm that you're using the standard SMS messaging service app on your phone? Also, are you able to create and send a brand new message to your contact, as opposed to a reply?

Mobile Apps & ServicesOh, that's interesting. As it's only happening with one contact, I recommend having a look at the guide below (from Samsung Philippines) and ensuring that the contact is fully unblocked:
If the issue persists after checking that, I think it would be a good idea to submit an Error report, as this will allow our developers to take a closer look at what might be causing this very unusual behaviour on the Messages app:
