Hi everyone
I forgot my secure folder password and I can't inter it or reset pin (NO RESET PIN OPTION)
I am wondering if there's any other way to recover my files

As a moderator you really should read the responses from other people before just pasting a link in that will just wind everyone up. I have the same issue that all the other users have in this thread. There is no option to reset/recover the password, or to use a PIN or biometrics to unlock the secure folder. The only option on the secure folder front screen is enter password. If that is unsuccessful the message Try Again in x seconds appears. That continues no matter how many times a password is entered. This is ridiculous, we are all stuck with no access to the folder. Please help with an actual resolution.

Hi Chris, this doesn't work as there is no Forgot Password/PIN option on the Secure Folder front screen. That is the issue that has caused this thread to be created. How can we all reset our passwords if there is no option to do so?

Hi all,
I've merged two topics as they're covering much the same ground.
I posted these steps earlier in the year elsewhere on here regarding a temporary workaround for a conflict between the Secure Folder app and the updated Samsung Account app:
- Settings > Apps > Samsung Account > More options(...) > tap 'Uninstall update' (Samsung Account v14.0.00.11)
- (In case of reset Password needed) Settings > tap and sign in 'Samsung Account' on the top > run 'Secure Folder' > mistype Password > tap 'Forgot password' > tap 'Reset' on the reset Password popup > enter New Password
An update to the Secure Folder app was due to be released that fixed the issue.
Unsure if this applies in your situations though - but happy to repost in this thread in case it does, or any of it helps at all.
If none of the steps advised so far have worked for you, can you please share:
- Device name and model code.
- Android & One UI version (in Settings > About phone > Software information)
- Build no. (in Settings > About phone > Software information)
- Version no. of the Secure Folder app. (Settings > Apps > Secure Folder. You should be able to check if there’s any updates in there too by tapping into the ‘App details in store’.)
- Version no. of the Samsung account app. (Settings > Apps > Samsung account. Same as above for checking for any updates.)
- And if you’ve sent any error reports with log files via the Members app on the issue.
Should help give more insight as to what's going on and move things forwards.

I have a Samsung a53 5g as well and I'm having the same problem. Literally impossible to recover or change password. I've done everything I've read on here with no luck.
