WhatsApp has stayed greyed out and unaccessible when the phone is out of sleep mode.
I use "sleep mode" on my phone, when it is enabled most apps are unavailable.
Today WhatsApp has stayed greyed out, and when trying to open it the app says its unavailable in sleep mode. Super frustrating and even after reinstalling still is a problem.
(It's just WhatsApp that's affected)

In Sleep mode, turn off Restrict app usage. Turn on Sleep mode and then turn it off. Check if this makes WhatsApp available again.

Hi @JT78
Is the software on your phone up to date? Go to Apps > Settings > About device > Software update. Also, let's try a soft reset on the phone. This will end all processes and give the phone a fresh start. To do this, press and hold the 'Power' and 'Volume Down' buttons until the phone restarts. Let us know if this helps!

I have the same problem on a Galaxy A13 5G phone. I have tried ever suggested solution. Nothing has worked. Have you resolved the issue?

With sleep mode disabled, go to Settings > Apps > Mode and Routines > Storage > Clear Cache and then Clear Data.
All your apps should be available again.

Try this method for all of greyed out app icon, clear cache and data of the Play Store app.
