Having an issue with this oven.

After pre-heating the oven, which it does fine, a small diamond symbol flashes above the clock on the RH side and the oven will not start when I try to switch it on. The only way I seem to get around this is set it back to pre-heat and let the 10 min timer run out and rinse and repeat.

Rang Samsung CS and they were as much use as a chocolate fireguard.

Any suggestions welcome please!

I solved my issue by unplugging. Not setting the clock on startup leaving it at 12:00. Turning dial clockwise to 15 seconds. Press start on the microwave button. Let it run (a cup of water inside would be good?)

Set the clock....It works perfectly in all modes

Where can we find replacement parts for this? I need to replace that exact same part on mine.

Please post when you find the part. My microwave is now out of guarantee, so I have to buy parts. I just changed the convection motor because it started making a lot of noise. It’s over 3 years old now and I am very disappointed. I have a lot of Samsung items and have lost my faith in them.

I get around the timer problem by setting the clock for under 10mins, then increasing it, once the microwave or Hot Blast oven starts. I can’t remember where I got the motor but use espares quite a lot. Failing that, Google helps. Just enter the make, model and part needed. See what comes up. Turn off and unplug, before replacing any part. Capacitors hold high voltage charges, even after the unit is disconnected. A guy was electrocuted and died, where I worked over 50 years ago. It only takes a micro second.

Hello

For me it was a design fault on the front panel board.

Regards

I have had this issue on my machine, the fault is due to a design fault causing the display diodes to become leaky and as the keyboard is matrixed with the display cause keys to stop working, replacing the display will fix the issue but the part is no longer available and the fix will be temporary anyway as it will fail again.

I have a solution, you can add diodes (1N4148) in series with the display pins so the leaky display does not matter though this may make elements of the display dimmer.

The display pin-outs, looking from the top are numbered 1 to 13 from right to left. The pins you need to change are 9 to 13 or the leftmost, cut the pins then solder a diode between the board and the cut pin, the diode anode goes toward the display. If your issue is just the start button then you only need to do pin 12 for now (till more controls fail).

I hope this helps people resurrect their machine.
