Hello,
I've seen a few reports of people having issues with Eco bubble washing machines cutting out or not powering on.
Ours failed during a cycle and then the next day no power. Whilst waiting for the repair engineer over a few days our electric tripped. Thought nothing of it until removing the washing machine ready for the repair.
The plug smelt funny and on closer inspection the fuse had melted and scorched the socket.
This machine is just under 5 years old. I find it strange that some of the questions on the phone during the technical quiz of the problem related to scorch marks around the plug socket. The engineer arrived and replaced the electric cable and also blown controller board..... handy having the spares already on the van.
Have Samsung a problem with boards and electrics in these machines???? Will we see a pattern in the next few years and see a denial of issues like the Hotpoint fires??

Update: the engineer has just left. He could have come last Thursday but I was away last week. He ran some tests on his digital meter that I didn't really understand and replaced the wire and plug. He couldn't rule out the house electrics been the cause as he wasn't here to test that. He didn't take off any panels so hopefully there aren't any burnt wires inside the machine. Thanks to Samsung support for arranging this resolution, hopefully that's the end of the problem and we can continue to use the machine safely for a long time. Hope everyone else gets theirs sorted out too.

This is exactly what happened to my washing machine WW90J5456-FW I could smell an electric burning smell and smoke filled the room then thank goodness it tripped the electric. I've just waited three weeks without a washing machine for the engine to visit today he made the discovery that the plug had melted thank my lucky stars there wasn't a fire!

I believe this is a recall issue and Samsung won’t do this until a fire has been called
if everyone gets in touch with trading standards then they will have to address this

Hi. I've had the same problem with a 5 year old ecobubble! How do I get in touch with Samsung?
