Liquid detergent guide - do we need to use it

If we want to use liquid detergent in the manual drawer - do we need to fit the liquid detergent guide and if so how does it fit in?

Thanks for trying to answer the question - the machine is an auto dose machine with a manual compartment in the middle - the manual is pretty silent as to whether the liquid detergent guide is needed or not ("applicable models") and it doesn't have any guidance as to how it fits and it's not obvious from trying to fit it how it might work. This seems to be a pretty common question here and no-one seems to have got an answer yet. PS my wife has been on the phone to Samsung support for 45 minutes and they don't seem to be able to answer it either.

BTW Samsung support desk. Have given up - said they will escalate to "higher support" and get back to us - the iver-riding problem seems to be that with the guide in place the liquid will just run out of the back of the compartment into the machine but there doesn't seem any way of fitting the guide into the compartment.

Trying to figure this out the best I can- did it come with an attachment at all?

It came with the standard small blue attachment packed in the accessories bag, the manual says it's only for "applicable models" but doesn't say what they are

I've watched entire guides, setups, and videos, and I'm not seeing it. So I personally would say you don't need it. What an odd situation. But I'm fairly confident that you don't have to install it.

As you mentioned, they're going to escalate, so it may be best to hold back from them.
