We were excited by the potential of our family hub fridge freezer, model RS6HA8891B1, which we purchased about 9 months ago, on software version Tizen 6.0.
We're disappointed by the lack of apps and software updates available since we purchased it. Given the expense I would have thought there would be a more regular update of the software & functionality. I would have thought it would have support for common apps and services such as netflix etc
Does anybody know how I can install additional apps on top the fridge at all?
Even having a more modern/standard browser would be helpful as I would be able to access some standard streaming services etc (BBC iplayer works perfectly on the browser at the moment but we get regular messages telling us to update/change our browser as it soon won't be supported).
Thanks

@jgjgjgjg: The apps listed in the Apps menu are the only apps available for Family Hub, so it won't be possible to install any apps other than those listed in the 'Available Apps' section. The selection of available apps may change over time or when updating the software on your Family Hub. If you would like to find out more, then please take a look at the link below from our friends at Samsung US.

You were suckered just like the rest of us, unfortunately. Samsung not only doesn't regularly update its devices, it ignores the post sale entirely. There are so many opportunities for those in product management for upsale of apps, an app store, but ti would mean investment into hardware that is destined for failure. In our case the ice maker is always freezing over, and the tablet hasn't seen an update since 20-May, 2020!
