I recently tried to do a factory reset of my Samsung family hub refrigerator and something happened while it was resetting. Now onky the samsung logo followed by family hub logo then nothing. Screen backlight on touch but obviously the software install went sideways making the fridge in unusable. Tech came and didn't do anything, he told me they would have to replace the screen for $600. I find it hard to belive that there is no way to load clean software on this device. Anyone have any help for this?

This just happened to mine too. I went through the steps in the settings app to factory reset. Now, I'm having the exact same issue. I get a Samsung splash screen, followed by a screen "family hub powered by knox", and then a blank screen where the backlight is responsive to tap. There is a usb port in the top/inside of the right door and i assumed Samsung could provide a recovery image that is bootable via usb, but their solution was to pay a tech to further diagnose. I've had techs from the same company out 4 times to repair this fridge (2 times for closed cooling system, 2 ice maker replacements) on a less than 4 year old appliance. Side note, they've been out 5 times in the last month for issues with a brand new samsung washer/dryer set. We finally got a full replacement from Best Buy, thankfully.
