Samsung you need to do a recall as clearly this is a major problem and a horror story waiting to happen.

We purchased the ECO Bubble on 20th Sept 2017 from Currys to replace our old washer when our buiding works and new kitchen utility were completed.

Due to delays from our appointed builders the washer was finally installed April 2019 and used for first time.

Roll on to January 4th 2023 and everythin was good and we have be very pleased with the latest samsung addition to our house.

5th January matters changed. Our smoke alarm alerted us to a problem and on further inspection the plug on the washer and 13amp fuse was burned out and had scorched the socket.

We asked our electrician to investigate and he could find no issue with our electrics and replaced the socket and plug.

Everything has been fine again since until 3rd July 2023.

Our Smoke alarms again alerted us to a problem in the location of our washer and tumble dryer.

On investigation not only had the refitted 13amp plug been burned completely through, the entire right side of the twin socket was burned through with one of the plug pins welded into the socket.

The smell and smoke was unbelievable

This is a disaster waiting to happen and completley unacceptable. Both times we have been home and awake i dread to think what would have happened had we not been.

I will raise with samsung but am very concerned about the lack of response and ownership on other posts is alarming.

Samsung please contact me as thisnis not going to go away.

Update.
Samsung arranged for a local engineer to attend.

He has fitted a new main lead cable and tested the appliance.

No visual issue with old main lead so not sure this will resolve the problem longterm but will monitor accordingly.
