The door glass on my Samsung oven just exploded for no reason. This is a major safety hazard. Very disappointed.

3 year old NV75K5571RS  is otherwise perfect condition, glass door exploded all over my wife and dog whilst on cleaning cycle! it was a miracle nobody was hurt.  Samsung don't care as its out of warranty but i would expect an oven not to explode anyway but certainly not after 3 years.  I will never buy anything from them again and i will tell anybody who will listen not to either.

I have been told by samsung.es that they are not interested in resolving the issue beyond giving me the contact info to purchase the parts at my expense.

Sorry to hear of the issues and I hope your good lady and the dog are ok.

If you are based in the UK, you have additional rights under the Consumer Rights Directive.

In essence a product must be fit for purpose and last for a reasonable period. In my view, 3 years for an oven is not reasonable. There are requirements to fulfil before you can use this route so have a Google search.

Also, how you paid for your oven can be important. If you are UK based and paid by CREDIT CARD then you may be able to claim from your card provider under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act.

(Note that this isn't the case for debit cards).

I ALWAYS SAY TO PEOPLE DON'T BUY GOODS OVER £100 WITHOUT PAYING ON YOUR CREDIT CARD DUE TO THIS EXTRA PROTECTION IN MOST CASES
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

very sorry to hear of your experience, it would have been alarming.  I take it were in touch with support, with it being a Health/Safety issue if you are in the Uk  I would advise contacting the Team Account @Sam_UK and one of the Moderators will respond.  If you are unsure how to send a private message a guide is here https://eu.community.samsung.com/t5/samsung-lounge/how-to-send-a-private-message-on-the-samsung-comm...

Hi, @twentydeck. Further to what's been advised by @JAMES4578, I'd recommend liaising with the Support Team in your region. That would be quickest, but I'm mindful that you haven't gotten a resolution yet.

We would also be happy to forward this to our colleagues in Spain, so reaching out to us via the @Sam_UK inbox is the way to go.

Hi,
I have a similar issue, but the explosion injured my daughter. A piece of glass hit her in the mouth (fortunately not in the eye). There was some bleeding and we had to visit the dentist.

So far, Samsung Support has not responded or commented on the case. Should I have the oven repaired, or should I dispose of it immediately and buy a new one?
What has your experience been?

Thank you, AtshaamY.
Unfortunately, I am not based in the UK. Local Samsung Support has just replied. I am waiting for direct contact. I hope we can clarify and resolve this issue.
