Hi,

I am very confused by this new Samsung washing machine I just purchased WW90T684DLH.

The programmes are really restrictive and have things like:

Underwear Programme - Max temp limit of 40c?? (National Health Service recommendations we are washing underwear at 60c. Various websites mention that detergent should kill those bacteria at 40c, but it seems the best thing to ensure those nasty ball bugs are dead, is to do both! I prefer the NHS recommendation)

Bed Linen Programme - Max temp limit of 40c??

Standard 40 Wash - No programme, but let's call it something that makes no sense.

Can I not just name and create my own? It must be possible :smiling-face:

Yes this is more of a rant because there is absolutely no way Samsung will solve this for me. I know it, they know it, you know it.  And I can't return it because I've used it once. Doh!

You can kill bacteria at 40 degrees no bother. Depending on what you're using, temperature hardly comes into the mix. Washing at lower temperatures is totally fine.

use dettol laundry stuff, it works at low temps. you put it where the fabric softener normally goes. it doesn't make everything stink like the acrid orange stuff either
