I am really dissappointed that like May other my z flip phone has cracks appearing in the fold of the screen. Looking online I see that the screen is not covered under warranty but I think as a loyal customer of Samsung you must now admit that this product is faulty. My phone has always been well looked after and protected by a case and screen protector and is only a few months old. It's such a pity as the phone itself is a great concept and works very well. Can any onr advise me on what recourse I can take please?

Yes it is cracks don't appear on displays for no reason.. glass or plastic does not just crack.. To get a crack In glass or plastic it means it has been dropped or more force put on it that is in the specs. It slamming you fold closed hard. It's pretty hard to crack a plastic screen.

Nope it hasnt been dropped or any pressure applied, ive never slammed the phone closed ive always been really careful. You can say its the users fault til your blue in the face it doesnt make it true and if it was just one or two people with the same issue you probably could say that with more credibility however that is not the case.

Screens not covered under warranty sent to repair centre and claimed pressure caused!!!! What they mean is opening and closing the phone. Have hardly touched the phone and know when have damaged. Its an insult called customer care after same answer. Whats more they remove the screensaver violating any warranty even if they dont honour. Now returned and no repair starting to get worse.. clear design issue . 1 month old will take a picture with my 5 year old pristine a71. Only recourse is to enter every forum and say how vad the phine, service os which i intend to do on every forum review site

If samsung removed the screen it wouldn't do anything to the warranty because the manufacturer took the screen off.

My z flip has a line and now the bottom half of the screen is not usable I purchased it in november 2021 but sent it back straight away because of a defect in the case .It took 2 months to get it back because it was lost in the post in Jan 2023 a line appeared I was told it was normal wear and a link provided to Samsung said it would not affect the life or operation of the phone 1 day after reading the link , I cant use my Phone ,15 years a staunch Samsung advocate mmmmm.

Hi, @dave128. I'm sorry that you've experienced an issue with your Z Flip. I'd highly recommend going through the steps that are available on our repair portal:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/repair/

or

https://www.samsung.com/ie/support/contact/ (Ireland)

It might transpire that your phone needs to be inspected and repaired, and the troubleshooter will help you determine this.

If you're based in the UK or Ireland, you can also reach out to our Support Teams here:

https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/contact/ (UK)

or

https://www.samsung.com/ie/support/contact/ (Ireland)

Please let us know when you get your phone working as expected again.
