Z fold 3 no sound on inner screen

Hello all, since the last software update when opening screescreen to full mode the sound dissapears. I have tested speakers in diagnostic mode with phone shut and all good. Once opened no sound. Can anyone shed light on this?

Same has happened to me I think it's just samsung doing the iPhone trick and forcing us to buy a newer model

Yeah. Went to samsung and told them about the problem. The employee told me that it is the first time that they heard about the problem. Then I told them about this thread. They also told me that updates are preferred to be done at the samsung store. So it means that their on air software updater really is the problem. Samsung offered to buy my phone as a discount if I upgrade to a new phone. Finally had my phone repaired at a local phone service center (not samsung) for $68.50. Turns out, the updates fried the flex.

Lucky you! Samsung also offered to buy my z fold 3 as a discount if I upgrade to z fold 6 I'm not doing that, I tried to repair it at a Samsung authorized repair center but they wanted to charge me $550 to fix it I'm also not doing that so here I am using it with bluetooth earbuds ... That store where you had it fixed is it in FL by any chance?

It's in the Philippines. Just converted the price to dollars. The issue of damage to hardware after the updates on fold 3 appears to be affecting several countries based on the threads. The shop where I went to was familiar with the issues and have repaired several folds and flips. Btw, they replaced the flex for the sound which also repaired my problem on the large screen. According to the shop, there were also flex related issues affecting wifi and bluetooth.

As to the earbuds, I feel you bro. My earpods had to be with me all the time. There was a point that I forgot how it feels like to have a phone with speakers.

M-am descurcat cu o pereche de casti bluetooth, dar au rezolvat si treaba asta, acum nu mai pot primi apeluri telefonice, ciudat este ca muzica pe youtube pot asculta. Ii "felicit" pentru treaba "buna" pe care o fac. Multumesc zamzung. O sa cumpar xiaomi sau huawei

In my opinion, this is a software issue and if it hasn't been fixed by now, it's because it was intentional. However, there are foldable phone options from other brands now, so no one is going to fall into the same trap twice, right?

It didn't work I'm lookin at all the comments in 2023  on 2024 going its 2025 and the problem is not fix i use the  phone for work audio video tech and in Vegas your new update kill when I open the phone it didn't work what did yall do please help ASAP job on line for my sound
