Samsung z fold 3 owned less than a year developing crack along crease line. Repair place said this is common....and they have a "limited lifespan" no matter how carefully you use them. Im up for a class action. Im so so angry. After im out of warranty this is a 500$ repair.

Mine has done the same thing in the last week and now the screen inside has failed. Never did anything to it. Always had a case. Samsung should make us whole for such a design flaw.

It doesn't matter if you're out of warranty or not as the warrant is not worth the paper it's wrote on.
I have the same issue with my phone and they have declined any warranty as invalid because there is a minor scuff on the corner which is not relevant to the issue with the screen cracking in the middle.
Apparently any marks on the phone whether it is relevant to the fault or not automatically invalidates the warranty

The Samsung fold 4 has a MAJOR design flaw. The hairline cracks start in the middle of the phone (WHERE IT FOLDS) from normal use (mulitple complaints). The the flip has the screen detach in the middle which also has multiple complaints. All while they are charging customers an outrageous price for a phone that is supposed to be functional and not create cracks (because of a design flaw) in the middle of the screen under normal use. When reaching out they force you to pay and outrageous price to get something fixed that was caused by a design failure. The price they charge for the phone nothing like this should happen and if it does it should be covered (Phone insurance is for damage cause by the owner but is now being used to give a company that creates the issue more money) If there is a class action suit please reach out.Thought the fold was a great idea but the Samsung company does not back there products and allows for defective products to be sold to the public. Will be switching back to Apple.

I am in the same boat here. You can see and feel the cracks along the crease line.

Unfortunately, it's not the screen protector. I've sent my phone in when my screen protector was bubbling and Samsung didn't fix it. It took them 1 month to send my phone back without replacing the screen protector. Of-course they didn't send the phone back till the warranty expired. Now after the screen protector has to peeled off, the screen is now cracking at the crease.

I was a Z-Fold 3 user. The inner screen failed for no reason after 1 year and 2 weeks of usage. I sent back the Samsung Centre and they told me this is a very common issue for a foldable phones. It have chances to brake the cable ribbons between the screen. It will cost me RM2,000+(500usd) to replace the inner screen. A big disappointment to Samsung. Now I have swtiched to Apple and BIG NO NO to Samsung.

On mine, it's the actual screen. I removed the shield a while ago. It's a faded looking crack right down the middle crease. Now that crease becomes the annoying crease.

Z Fold 3, average user, middle screen crack and the inner screen totally not useable now.
How durable is this phone, impressive. Tested for 100,000 time fold, maybe i have folded it less 10,000 times.
Wasted my bloody money. I stop S series after a miserable experience with S20 Ultra green screen issue.
Now Z, looks like there is not samsung phone that will work for me.

Mine is doing the same thing. Was thinking of using my squaretrade insurance "IF" they will even cover it before it fully breaks. But then people have cracks again after replacing screen? Not sure what to do? May go back to slab style like the s23 ultra. I have had my z fold 3 for 1 & 1/2 years. Started cracking about 3 months ago. Phone is still totally usable but from time to time I can see all those micro cracks running up and down the crease. I had purchased every Samsung Note phone except for the original one and Note 5. Loved them all. Wish I would had stuck with getting the Note 20 ultra and not bought this even though I do love the big inner screen.
