Since the software updates, my wifi stopped working and it's not turning on. I tried restarting multiple times using different techniques and I also reset network/wifi settings multiple times. Still not working. Should I wait until the next software updates?

Usually resetting those settings can help 🤔

If your Samsung phone in the UK isn't turning on Wi-Fi, you can try these troubleshooting steps: restart your phone and router, check for software updates, try connecting in Safe Mode, reset network settings, or even consider a factory reset; if the issue persists, contact Samsung support.

Basic troubleshooting steps:
  • Restart your phone and router:
Turn off both devices completely, wait a few seconds, then turn them back on.

  • Check for software updates:
Go to your phone's settings and ensure you have the latest software updates installed.

Advanced troubleshooting steps:
  • Check in Safe Mode:
Restart your phone in Safe Mode to see if a third-party app is interfering with your Wi-Fi connection.

  • Reset network settings:
Go to your phone's settings, then "General management" > "Reset" > "Reset network settings".

  • Forget and reconnect to the network:
In your Wi-Fi settings, forget the network you're trying to connect to and then try reconnecting.

If nothing else works:
  • Factory reset:
Perform a factory reset on your phone, but remember to back up your data first.

  • Contact Samsung support:
If the issue persists after trying all troubleshooting steps, reach out to Samsung customer service for further assistance.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

Thanks for your help. I literally tried everything you mentioned which I found these recommendations through this forum but nothing worked yet. I wanted to understand if anyone is seeing similar issues with the latest software updates.

I had this issue with Samsung Galaxy fold 3 not sure if it was software update but certainly started after that.  My son then performed these steps:

  1. forget all wifi networks, steps to do so are:
    1. Go to settings
    2. Go to reset
    3. Click reset wifi and bluetooth settings
  2. Took out the sim card from the phone (need a pin to get the tray out)
  3. power off the phone
  4. turn on
  5. got to wifi settings and reconnect
  6. replace SIM card

NB: I have an e-SIM but had left the old SIM card in so now am leaving it out but my son suggests that if you put SIM back it should all reset - he has had this issue previously

i tried all the recommended support offered in this community. i even went to Samsung repair & quoted me £499 to replace the screen. no check with the fault even though i informed them after the 6.1.1 update no WiFi working. i find it disappointing also after writing to the uk head offices no response to date from them. then reading i am not the only one having this issues with my z fold and its a design fault Samsung is aware of yet not helping its consumers at all. i have now written morning live bbc consumer with this issue and will also be seeking my MP.
