I had this issue with Samsung Galaxy fold 3 not sure if it was software update but certainly started after that. My son then performed these steps:
- forget all wifi networks, steps to do so are:
- Go to settings
- Go to reset
- Click reset wifi and bluetooth settings
- Took out the sim card from the phone (need a pin to get the tray out)
- power off the phone
- turn on
- got to wifi settings and reconnect
- replace SIM card
NB: I have an e-SIM but had left the old SIM card in so now am leaving it out but my son suggests that if you put SIM back it should all reset - he has had this issue previously

i tried all the recommended support offered in this community. i even went to Samsung repair & quoted me £499 to replace the screen. no check with the fault even though i informed them after the 6.1.1 update no WiFi working. i find it disappointing also after writing to the uk head offices no response to date from them. then reading i am not the only one having this issues with my z fold and its a design fault Samsung is aware of yet not helping its consumers at all. i have now written morning live bbc consumer with this issue and will also be seeking my MP.
