Bought my Z Fold 55 in Jan 2025 after waiting 4 years to buy a Fold cell phone. I waited because I was read and was told by many not to buy Fold yet because of inter folding screen issues with the screen blacking out and malfunction.
In Dec 2023 reports said over and over Samsung had fixed the screen folding issues so I purchased my Fold 5.
Last month Feburary 2025 my inner folding screen malfunctioned and when black. I contacted Samsung about the issue and they stayed that my Fold 5 as of 3 weeks out of WARRANTY is no longer covered by the warranty. They told me I could have the Fold's screen replaced but it would be at my personal cost.
I believe Samsung had not fixed the faulty folding inner screen issues. What happen to my Fold is all most exactly what has happen to the prior Fold models.
Description of the issue: One morning turning on my phone opening it up a solid white line appeared at the top of the screen, then 2 days later the entire screen went to working with the 1 sold line to the entire screen being scrabbled with white and violet purple colors. Then 10 second later the entire screen went black and had not worked since.
The phone is only 13 months old! Fox or Samsung!

I'm sorry to learn of the issue with your phone.
Yes unfortunately unless Samsung Care+ was taken out a Samsung phone comes with a set limited Manufacturer's Warranty.
In the UK this is 24 months.
This is why i have my phone's covered under my Home Contents Insurance.
Where do you reside ? Do check the small print of the Manufacturer's Warranty for your region.
