Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 Black Line in Crease

I have a Samsung Galaxy Fold 3 512GB which is less than 3 months old.  All of a sudden there is a thick black line anytime I unfold the device on the main screen.  The right side of the main screen is also completely unresponsive to touch.  The black line is as thick as the fold and does not go away.  I have factory reset the device, but it did not help.  I have been trying to get support from Samsung and have spent hours on the phone and chatting, but can get no resolution from Samsung.  This appears to be a very clear flaw in the device as I've read many other posts regarding the same exact issue.  Why is Samsung not taking responsibility for this flaw?  I was told it cannot be covered under warranty, and while I have insurance the insurance is stating that it won't pay as it should be covered under warranty.  I've been a 10+ Samsung customer and will no longer buy another product from Samsung because of the lack of support I've received.

I have a flip 3, I also got a black line across the middle and some apps were un responsive, sent it back to Samsung we also got told it had been dropped, which it hadn't and would cost us £350, my husband asked for the number to speak to the Manager and she rudely answered GOOGLE IT. My husband paid it. We have 2 years warranty with tesco, but was not covered.

This just happened to me today.  Thick black line running through the center of the phone - and all I did was unfold it.  Never once did it get damaged, and it didn't drop or get dinged up before it happened.  No, It was just this awful surprise staring at you, and to make matters worse - the screen becomes unresponsive?!  If it wasn't for the pen that i use with this phone everyday...;(the fold edition stylus-which thankfully does still respond to the screen) this phone would be rendered useless.  I have a Z Fold 3 Thom Browne special edition phone that I have owned (& LOVED) for a little over 3 years now.  If ever I had heard even the slightest rumor of a freak accident that plagues this phone, I would have stuck with the Note 10+.  This is an apparent manufacturer defect as the same issue and symptoms are being reported by many.  Samsungs lack of interest in this topic and refusal to take responsibility and immediate action is downright disappointing and appalling.

Hello go directly to samsung support. Tell them device condition take photos with good camera before hand ie phone on and showing screen. Also the whole phone showing top and bottom and hinge. If there is any damage whatsoever they will refuse repair under warenty. Send these to samsung. Then book a repair via your provider. Tell them it is a warenty repair and you have photos of the device prior to dispatch.

I am using the 256GB version of fold 3 for last 1 year now. Had no problem until couple of days ago when suddenly, a black line appeared on the crease leaving the right side completely unresponsive. Got the phone on lease for 2 years and not sure if will be able to return/ exchange with 1 year to go... Disappointed.

I have had the same issue of the thick black line after 15 months and been told that there is impact damage when I have never dropped or damaged the phone. This is clearly a common fault and is irrefutable based on the hundreds of angry Samsung customers with the same problem. I am also in a vicious circle between the insurance company and Samsung. This is a £1500 phone that I am paying for for another 21 months and I am being blamed when I didn't break it and asked to pay over £500 for a new screen. This is corporate robbery!

I've had mine about 14 months and this has happened. It started with a bright white horizontal streak on right screen than came the black steak down the middle. And the right screen is not responsive. If they won't fix yours they definitely will not fix mine. Can't believe I paid $1900 for this piece of garbage.
