Samsung Does Not Honor Warranty Repair on Z-Fold Screens, Buyer Beware.

I bought a Z-fold 4, confident that if the screen began to have problems (like was reported by other people) at least the product would be covered by warranty repair. Nope. Less than 1 year old, and first screen protector started coming loose, then screen itself stopped working. Samsung denied my warranty repair because of tiny scuff mark on corner of phone. This is how you treat customers of your premium products?? Foldable screens are a novel idea, but Samsung has built this poor quality in to their business model.... produce poor quality products then deny warranty claims as a way to boost profits at the customer's expense. Shame.

Samsung customer service is a scam. I booked a screen protector replacement and the appointment took me to an EE shop in Blue water shopping centre. When I entered the shop,they started talking between themselves so that I didn't hear what they were saying. Suddenly, one came and advised me to go to a phone shop next door.

When I went next door, they wondered why EE directed me to them, yet they were not affiliated with Samsung.

I made another online appointment, and this time, I was sent to Stratford Westfield. They looked at my phone and even used a magnifying glass to look for a scratch as my phone had been covered since I bought it. As if by magic, they found a little scratch at the back of the phone. They told me that if they put the phone into the machine, it might damage the phone. Even today, it is difficult to see that scratch at the back.

Thank God that Huawei is coming up with the same technology. I have been with Samsung since Galaxy Note 1 and all the Note's that followed.

I have a Fold 3, but with such a service, I can not commit to Samsung since loyalty doesn't pay.
