Hi,
Need help if anyone have the same issue and able to solve this.
I have just passed a couple weeks from 1 year of using this Z Flip 4, and suddenly my phone keeps randomly shut down and cannot be turned on without giving bait by charging it first.
Then if it already turns on, either it can suddenly shut down or if folded, it will shut down.
It's really bothersome as this is my main phone. I hope that I won't have to spend much to fix it.

Same thing happened to me today. Also the Samsung website is so bad. When I click "my product", it is always "You have zero registered products.", even though I have 4 products registered. I don't even find the place the claim the warranty.

I am facing the same problem .my flip 4 switches off when folded .my phone is 14 months old .this problem is started since 2 days .

I have exactly the same problem. right after the phone is out of warranty, it starts acting up. Also my phone waranty is 1 yr. So samsung will charge me a bomb for it. I hear in India the customers has made a lot of noise to samsung for the same issues and they have taken the responsibility for the fault/glitch in their product and reparied it FOC. but in Singapore Samsung ppl just dont care a damm about the reputation or brand name and will never accept their responsibility even though its well known in another country the reason of the issue with the product. Why else would there be so many forums indicating same issues with the same phone.
Hope Samsung boss somehow turns an Ear to the issue

Have you gotten the problem solved? I went to a Samsung authorized repair store, they said it was motherboard issue and they could not fix it. I need to contact samsung factory for repair.

i had gone to Samsung Service Center at Plaza Singapura.
1) they took my phone inside to check and then come back and tell me there is a slight damage- i couldnt see with my naked eyes. And because of that dent, they want to charge me full cost of the repair. It is like either they will find a tiny damage - about 1 mm or less , via their microscopes or they will make such a damage and say it was already there.
2) Infront of me many other with same issue came and their phone was taken in for repair FOC, how their phone has the same issue without any 1 mm dent/scratch... that means that its unrelated. but as usual they always want to blame it on the customer. Even when they are aware that the make and model has some inside issue because of which this issue is happening. But they just dont want to accept. Basically there modus operandi i noted is to trouble the customer so he leaves Samsung and goes to some other brand.
3) I asked to speak to the manager, kept on waiting for 20 mins, then the guy comes and tells me, he will help me to esclate the issue, brought some form, started righting somethings on it. and told me he will esclate the issue and will get a call soon from Samsung. This was on Thrusday, when i didnt get any call till monday, i reached out to Samsung online to check the status of the esclataion, i was informed that there has be NO ESCLATION on the topic/ issue. This is how they make fool of the people who make mistake of trusting in the brand Name of Samsung.
4) I ve esclated the issue again online, and again like a fool i am expecting Samsung to respond and do the right thing for the brand name.
5) look at it this way, phone just 1.5 months out of warranty, suddenly goes into power shut down. Without any physical drop/damage. And thats about it for the amount you have spend to buy Samsung's Flip phone. Now if u want it to be repaired, pay the cost which is almost equal to the todays phone cost. Or buy another more expensive phone of Samsung, then again after one year, same issue may come up.
I am still hoping something would come out of the online esclation, else i plan to make a video of what happened and put it on social media to let ppl know what good are Samsung Flip 4 phones just out of their waranty. Nothing but may be just a PAPER WEIGHT.

I am 14 months in with my Sansung Flip 4 and just started having the same issue. I called Samsung and they basically said it was my problem since it's out of the 1 year warranty and will have to pay to get it fixed. I think that's absolutely horrible to charge this much for a phone and then not make it right when it crashes on it's own.

I just experienced this yesterday, I thought it would be OK by now but nope! and my warranty also ended 2 months ago
