Galaxy Fold 6 Cover Screen notifications when screen off not showing.

Hello, all! I recently purchased a Fold 6, and one thing that is bothering me more than I thought it would is that notifications are not showing on my cover screen when my phone is "asleep," or screen is off, or whatever you want to call it. I've gone into the settings and enabled "Lock screen notifications, Show Content, All apps" and nothing shows unless my phone is awake, which means... it's no longer on the lock screen.

Is this by design? I don't keep my phone in AOD mode, but I'm incredibly used to glancing down at my phone when a notification sounds to see if it's something I need to check on. Having to grab my phone, unlock it, and then swipe down to see a notification is about to drive me insane.

I know you said you have been in settings. But have you been in cover screen settings also to make sure all is turned on. I'm guessing the fold cover case is similar to an s23 cover case and have the settings for the case. I don't actual own a fold myself.

I actually have been unable to find a setting that's just listed as "cover," only "lock screen." But, I'll keep looking!

Mine shows in settings underneath lock screen and AOD. Not sure how the fold cover works. When I've had issues with cover cases previously. Removing the case and rebooting the phone. Then power the phone on and applying the case back on has fixed the issues. Something you could try.1724434348319.jpg

Oh, when I say fold cover, I mean the main screen when you close the Fold. Maybe I need some other verbiage, lol.

Oh the main screen 😂. If all notifications are turned on, weird it's not showing. When you are in always in display settings. Go to when to show. Try for new notifications rather then tap to show. Mine is on tap to show, does quickly come up showing the notification, but doesn't stay very long on screen.

So... I gave my phone to my wife for like 5 minutes and she figured it out. I had the notifications set to "Detailed" instead of "Brief" because I wanted them to be detailed, lol. Setting them to brief changes it to show even when screen is off. So weird, but whatever, I'm happy now, lol.

Thank you for your assistance!

I wonder why they created a feature for detailed notification but it does not seem to work properly. I have done same to mine. Hope it sorts it out.

OP is referring to the Galaxy Fold's "main screen" or "cover screen", as in when the phone is folded. They are not using a cover case as you are referring to . These two things are much different and unrelated
