Difficult to expand notification in pull down panel after last update

I keep trying to expand notifications from apps such as Gmail to preview things that i want to keep the notification for to get to later and it opens the apps bc the area to expand the notification is so small after the last software update (4)

Recently, I discovered a solution involving gestures that may be helpful. However, it may not be immediately apparent as it is not readily visible. By swiping with two fingers on any notification, you can expand it. This can be especially useful when dealing with a smaller expand icon.

Issue was reported several updates ago with no acknowledgement or solution.

Every single day I miss notifications because I open the app instead of the preview. Important emails, messages, everything.

I'm sticking with the phone, however as soon as I need a new handset... I'll be gone from Samsung.

My Flip5 had the expanding issue where it only worked with two fingers but in the recent August update looks like they fixed the issue ! Where I can expand notifications with one finger

I've since realized that it is possible to pull down the notification with a swipe to expand. Doesn't always work (e.g., when it's not the top notification and there are several notifications) but when it does, it is significantly easier.

Nevermind it stopped working today. What the heck Samsung....

In the last couple of days I've noticed I can no longer pull down on notifications to expand them. I've never used the arrow, as the pull down has always worked flawlessly. Z Flip4 Android 13 5.1.1 UI.

Almost 2 years later and this feature is still broken.

I went to preview 3 emails today and ended up opening the app in each case. Had to go through folders to find which ones were unread.

Just realised you can just swipe down with one finger to expand the notification. However, if you have more than one notification for same app (e.g. gmail ), the swipe won't work if the notification above the one you want to expand is already expanded. You have to close the top notification first. It works from bottom to top for a same app/group I guess.

I upgraded a year ago from galaxy 8 to 22 and I'm still hating it. Samsung is done.

this issue singlehandedly is the reason why I'll be switching to another brand after my contract is up. I've used a Galaxy since the s3 but this is ridiculous. never had such a basic feature been so inconvenient.

I'm having this utterly annoying problem of the difficulty expanding notifications in the drawer on a S24 with One 6.1... previous phone was a S9 and it didn't have that problem... can't believe it's a problem that has been reported more than 2 years ago and it's still not resolved...!

The user experience of the UI seems to go downhill with each new OneUI versions... like the 3-dots to open the brightness menu which is difficult to open everytime without accidentally clicking in the brightness slider at the strongest point of the slider, which immediately brings the brightness to full and blinds you instantly... what an utterly bad design!
