Enough is enough.

Despite what Samsung says in response to user complaints, the crease/crack along the fold of our Flips and Fold phones ARE a common problem irrespective of whether occuring within the 1st year of ownership or shortly thereafter.

Let's call it what it really is: A component defect.

It's very disappointing, irresponsible and dodgy of Samsung to deem the issue as 'user damage' to evade accountability and foist hefty repair costs upon the user.

How many of you flip/fold owners have worn the burdensome frustration and inconvenience of having your phone fixed in the early days of ownership? How many of you have felt you've had no choice but to pay for Samsung for the repair, or, write off the cost of your phone entirely and buy a new more reliable phone to replace it??

The crease/crack in my phone appeared out of the blue through absolutely no fault of my own. I know I am not the only one.  Laying the blame at my feet is utter rubbish.

At the very least, a smart phone should endure 3 years of good use.  Not 2 weeks, 6 months or 1.5 years.

Even if Samsung says that the phone was broken because of ‘user damage’, one must look at the structural integrity of the phone itself and question how it could so easily be damaged by users so early on in the phone’s life.

For those of you out of pocket for a repair and/or the cost of an unusable phone plus a new one, let's band together and launch a worldwide class action lawsuit against Samsung for this issue and get our money back.

Who's with me?

I know they've been other community members who've complained or mentioning class actions elsewhere within the community (I among them) so i think it's time.

Enough really is enough.

Please respond here and to any other post regarding class actions on this website and elsewhere to further this cause.

you don't need to send them your phone. They have samsung authorized repair centers. It's not very convenient but I feel it's better then mailing in your phone. You'll still need another phone to use temporarily because they will have your phone a few days. This whole situation is very disappointing. I hope Elon releases a tesla phone. As a longtime samsung customer I'm done. They really f****d this situation up and handled it in the worst possible way.

Yes. These phones are garbage

After 3 months my fold 4 is broken and the inside screen broke without any fault of my own. There was a black line and now the screen is a black and doesn't respond to touch

THE REAL QUESTION IS WHY DID THEY SUDDENLY STOP ALLOWING UBREAKIFIX TO REPAIR PHONES WITH THESE ISSUES 3 MONTHS AGO. THE REP TOLD ME RHIS DIRECTLY, HE ALSO SAID HE SAW AT LEAST TWO PER DAY. SAMSUNG EVEN SCHEDULED ME AN APPOINTMENT TONGET IT FIXED THERE 🤦🏼‍♂️

Worst customer service experience I’ve ever dealt with. This is an $1100 phone that isn’t functional due to no fault of mine but by the the faulty parts in the device. It’s under manufacture warranty so I reached out to support and they set me an appointment to go to UbreakiFix. When I got there they said 3 months ago Samsung told them (UbreakiFix) cannot service phones with misaligned hinges. So after that I sent the phone in with overnight shipping and arrived at the service center on 8/29. I called to check the status and was told that they haven’t looked at the phone yet. Then I called on 8/30 and was told they were inspecting the device. On 8/31 I was told they were still inspecting the device and that it could take 5 business days to inspect/fix, plus an additional 3 business days to send the phone back for a total of 8 business days, almost 2 weeks. I’ve reached out over 5 times to figure out why it takes more than 2 days to inspect a device that your technicians have probably seen more than any other phone that Samsung has made, and that I wanted to talk to someone that could offer a solution. I was mysteriously disconnected every time. So then I did a chat instead so they couldn’t hang up and I was told that they can’t do anything but they will put it in the notes and someone will reach out to me. No one ever reached out. Every time I call I have to explain everything as if you guys don’t have a system that records interactions or updates to understand the customer’s needs. I’ve even told the rep that I would take a lesser value pre owned phone. It’s obvious that this isn’t something that was caused by negligence but by a poor design. It would be appreciated if there was some sort of tracker that actually shows info. The only thing I see in the “status tracker” is the ups tracking number for the shipment to the repair center. Samsung has my $1100 phone, I’m without one and there’s no communication, sense of urgency or ownership. It’s appalling to me that you guys are using this system that leaves your customers hanging in the wind. You’ve lost a customer for life and illl be sure to voice my opinion where all your potential customers can see it. I’ll be switching to Apple where I can actually talk to someone face to face and get an evaluation and repair/loaner/replacement on the spot.

Where I live all the ubreakifix locations changed into asurion. And the customer service is horrendous. Samsung lost me. I'm kinda stuck for the time being due to the way tmobile applies trade in credits and doesn't allow you to pay the phone off early. But that's for another day. I won't be going to apple either.  For someone who's owned a samsung since the galaxy line was first launched I'm saddend to have to find a new brand but the way they've handled the foldable customers really says a lot. Like you I asked for the to issue me a galaxy note which is cheaper and I wouldn't even ask for a credit for the price difference and they said no. F**K SAMSUNG. IM DONE

I experienced the same on a SAMSUNG Galaxy Z Flip 4 (F721) 5G 256GB after owning it for 2 months.

The same crackly sound and the mechanism is clearly failing and you get the black area along the fold of the screen which gradually travels to the rest of the screen.

I am a technical/engineering expert and I knew this technology is not ready so I waited until the 4th generation of the Samsung flip phones assuming they would have got the technology right by now - they havent ! And they pretend its not an issue.

I'm surprised Apple etc dont jump in on this mass comsumer complaint bandwagon and say - See - we dont offer this flip technology bullshit because it doesnt work - its a scam !!!

Samsung is using the Flip phones to pretend they are more advanced than their competitors !
