Enough is enough.
Despite what Samsung says in response to user complaints, the crease/crack along the fold of our Flips and Fold phones ARE a common problem irrespective of whether occuring within the 1st year of ownership or shortly thereafter.
Let's call it what it really is: A component defect.
It's very disappointing, irresponsible and dodgy of Samsung to deem the issue as 'user damage' to evade accountability and foist hefty repair costs upon the user.
How many of you flip/fold owners have worn the burdensome frustration and inconvenience of having your phone fixed in the early days of ownership? How many of you have felt you've had no choice but to pay for Samsung for the repair, or, write off the cost of your phone entirely and buy a new more reliable phone to replace it??
The crease/crack in my phone appeared out of the blue through absolutely no fault of my own. I know I am not the only one. Laying the blame at my feet is utter rubbish.
At the very least, a smart phone should endure 3 years of good use. Not 2 weeks, 6 months or 1.5 years.
Even if Samsung says that the phone was broken because of ‘user damage’, one must look at the structural integrity of the phone itself and question how it could so easily be damaged by users so early on in the phone’s life.
For those of you out of pocket for a repair and/or the cost of an unusable phone plus a new one, let's band together and launch a worldwide class action lawsuit against Samsung for this issue and get our money back.
Who's with me?
I know they've been other community members who've complained or mentioning class actions elsewhere within the community (I among them) so i think it's time.
Enough really is enough.
Please respond here and to any other post regarding class actions on this website and elsewhere to further this cause.

So what do we have to do to make the class action happening? is there anything we can do in Europe to hold Samsung accountable? This is completely unacceptable

This should get you started if you live in England and Wales...

Other European countries have their own versions of class action.

We had one for 18 months and then after an update we got the middle line down the middle of the center fold, the black screen of death. No physical damage to the phone, as well, it is in a military grade protective case. So So unless the company wants to loos e thousands of costumers it better take responsibility for its defective product, and fast.

The company is a complete rip off. And should be sued globally by all people they sold a flip or fold phone.
My phone turns off when i close it, and the warranty is not valid because it has a line in the center where the phone folds. That line appears on every phone they sell in the exact same spot. The reason why it appears is more then obvious. Its an half finished product available on the marketplace with very bad quality. In other words they know much earlier then you that it will appear there. They are selling a product that cant even last 2 years and they dont want to repair it. I am pretty sure that we are talking about serious crime on a global level. And whats even more funny is that on the phone was a plastic film protector on the screen which was made 100%samsung quality and started to peel off after 2 months, and now listen this. I wanted to buy a new screen protector. But i was told that there are none available currently due shortage of supply , and that i am not able to buy one currently.
So let get trough everything once again. First they sell phones of which they are fully aware that they will break down. They wont accept your warranty because off the center line which appears on each phone, despite the HUGE LIE of 200 folds per day over 5 years, which is again false marketing and is a criminal activity on global level. And yeah you cant buy protection for the screen because they dont have it on stock, but yet they want you to have it.
The company's policy is so disgraceful, i will never never never in my life buy anything from this fraudulent institution.
I will definitively seek legal advice and pursue them for false marketing and not delivering their promises.
Its multi-billion dollar company that doesn't care about their product quality and which is even more concerning about the customers to which they sell their faulty hardware.
DISGRACE DISGRACE DISGRACE DISGRACE DISGRACE DISGRACE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AVOID AT ANY COST THIS COMPANY !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And yeah the guy in the customer service where i brought the phone told me after 5 seconds, that the screen is broken. Which makes their fraudulent behavior even more disgraceful.
feel free to contact me, i am from Croatia, i am sure we can get people from many countrys around the worlds. Ho-ever starts the lawsuit please contact me. I am on a vacation currently and will be back in 2 weeks. When i get home i will seek legal advice in my country as well, because this is BIG TIME FRAUD ON INTERNATIONAL LEVEL

Although I received full replacement value for trading in my Z Fold3 to replace this defective product, I am still out of pocket $1,200. It is only fair that the legal system awards me the full $1,900 I originally spent. How can we locate the appropriate law firm that is willing to represent this class action?

The last time I posted in this thread I was waiting on my third replacement I am now waiting on my 4th that will be here tomorrow every single one of them crack right down the middle in the big screen all I did was open the phone up. The phone is supposedly rated for 100000 folds. My third replacement made it to 4561.
I would recommend downloading Fold Counter
Place the widget wherever you want and records the number of folds. Fold Counter .

I'm on my 3rd phone. First one broke twice. After getting the first one fixed the second time it was all eff'd up so they ended up replacing the phone. That one broke so they ended up replacing it with another under the manufacturers warranty. All in less then a year and now they said they will only guarantee this phone for 90 days lol. What a f*****g joke samsung is. HEY ELON. WHERES THE ***** TESLA PHONE. I NEED A NEW PHONE. F***K APPLE

I have a similar horror story perhaps worse. I had the exact same issue; regular usage, no abuse, nearly 1 year into the warranty. I opened my Zfold4 as usual in the morning, heard a pop, black line down the middle of the screen where it cracked right at the inner hinge. at first I could still see the screen somewhat on one side or the other, but then it went completely black.
I bought this phone directly from Samsung and purchased the Care+ plan. Initially I tried filing a claim on the website, but it kept saying my phone wasn't linked. I tried every which way to "link" it, but no luck. Next I called Samsung directly and opted to use the text option at first since I was working, and this is my primary device with multiple authenticator apps, not to mention I my lifeline to work in general.
I lost an entire day of productivity, maybe more. After hours of lost productivity going back and forth with Samsung and Asurion (Insurance), I kept getting transferred to different departments. Asurion told me that this was a manufacture defect since I hadn't dropped or directly caused the issue, so I needed to go to a walk in repair shop (UbreakFix) which was 45 minutes away from my location either direction. I contacted Ubreak fix twice once I had a ticket number from Samsung. Ubreakfix said they could not find the claim in the system and the ticket was basically useless to them. So I call Samsung once again, and jumped through hours of hoops. Back to Ubreakfix to schedule an appointment. They directly told me that they could not cover this because it is a known issue, and Samsung denies the claims, 90% of the time, and they could only cover it under the Care+ plan I have been paying for since I purchased the device. Back to Samsung again and now they tell me I have to mail in my device because UbreakFix wouldn't do the repair, knowing they would lose money. So round and round I go in circles, and Samsung says I would need to wipe the device and mail it in. They also tell me It could be 3 weeks or more before I receive it back, and they could not send me a loaner.
Frustrated beyond belief for obvious reasons, I ended up having to spend around 2K (USD) to get a new comparable phone from my Mobile provider to match the capabilities of my existing phone, transfer all of the data, do a full wipe, package the device myself (they sent me a return label and instructed me to go to a UPS store). Meanwhile, I lost well over a day of productivity, am on call with a different number (Had to setup forwarding), can't get my texts forwarding properly. All things considered, this has costed me close to 10K USD, likely more by the time it is all over, in lost productivity and additional purchases. The added frustration and anxiety this has caused me is beyond belief. I have never dealt with such horrific customer service for a simple phone replacement. I will see if Samsung follows through on their replacement, but have all of the supporting documentation, videos, texts, and history. I am fully prepared to lawyer up given the circumstances, and am 100% on board for a Class Action Lawsuit, especially after reading so many others with similar experiences. It is time we hold Samsung accountable! It is abundantly clear this is a cover up and a scam. The Manufacturer Warranty is completely useless unless you want to be without a phone for weeks, which isn't practical for anyone. The Care+ is a scam, because they know this is a defect, as well as Samsung. The Repair shops (Ubreakfix) will not do the repairs because they know they will not get reimbursed for the repairs.
