Please if this helps anyone who decides to change their mind or not happy with their devices a 20% charge is applied on returns on purchaseso via Samsung uk.
unless deemed faulty etc. so bear in mind I wanted to return a device which within 4 days was cheaper by £95 and storage size tripled! on their own site and didn't want to pay the difference
but I was told I would be charged 20% which is a ridiculous amount as I charged the phone downloaded apps so be careful guys.

I'm afraid you've been badly advised.

Under the Distance Selling Regulations, if you bought online or over the phone, you have a legal right to return (most) items without having to give a reason and receive a full refund.

You may be charged return postage.

If you purchased it online or via phone then legally you can return it without paying any penalty like 20%, that's the law in the UK.

Wow 😲 . Never knew this. Kinda looks harsh specifically as you wouldn't know whether you like a phone or not without powering it up and trying it out.

I can understand for other things like maybe a washing machine and stuff but phones and TV's should be exempt.

The OP downloaded apps. You wouldn't do that in store. They could of downloaded anything.

Yes people are correct. If you purchase online from any supplier the distance selling rules apply
