Lack of decent offers in the UK compared to US

So after the issues faced with my ZF4 I decided to go with the upgrade to the ZF6 and so far I am loving this device.
Despite the minor changes compared to the 4 there is a huge difference.
I was slightly miffed by a couple of things though.
Samsung advertise this as the brightest display yet. Yet when I had my 6 alongside the 4 with brightness settings the same the 4 was way brighter and colours on the 6 were pretty washed out.
I had to navigate through settings to find a vividness slider which is by default set to the lowest level. I changed this and they were pretty much the same.
The brightness is very good in direct sun but it would be nice to have the option of using its maximum capability from time to time.

My biggest issue though is the lack of decent offers here in the UK.
I am with Vodafone and they have 0 promotions apart from a pretty decent trade in value yet others are offering either a watch 7 or buds 3 or case depending which carrier you go through.

When the 4 was launched you had a generic promotion across all carriers for a watch 4 and a starter pack which included case and s pen. There's nothing like that here right now apart from one item from the other carriers.

In the states it seems that they're getting everything including much bigger trade in deals than over here.

I don't get why Samsung would do this and not offer the same promotions across all carriers like they did before.

I don't care too much as my watch 4 is still perfect but it would be nice to have the same deals as other countries instead of the pretty poor deals we have here at the moment.

Hello @WaffleMonster and congratulations on the purchase of your new phone.  👍

I've not yet come across an owner who has said the brightness does not appear to be brighter , however I have seen a post in regards to the vividness.

If you perform a forum search you should find existing threads with some further help within.

I turn off Eye Comfort Shield and Adaptive Colour Tone on my phone ,which can affect how the display appears.

Along with turning Off Adaptive Brightness.

In regards to the offers that were available on the launch of the new flagship phone's by the Networks I can't comment on ,as what they offer can differ per network.

That's upto the networks what they bring to the table.

Many seem to add into their promotional point of sale what Samsung is themselves is offering.

The Trade-in options were pretty good too depending on what your opinion of what the value of the phone being trading in is.

Take into account what our friends of the pond recieve does not include what taxes they pay ontop.

They do however typically recieve a good amount of Samsung Store Credit to be able to buy extra goodies.

Samsung UK did offer an extra £100 off via an email voucher to those that showed an interest by registering before the unpacked event happened on top of the offers they gave for Pre Ordering.

These Pre Order / Current deals won't always be of interest to everyone unfortunately.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

@WaffleMonster The US is a bigger market and there  may will be differences in costs, also need to factor in exchange rates and the fact that US prices are quoted pre sales tax. Tech goods are generally more expensive in Europe though Apple's market share in the States also a factor.

The Default vividness is level 1, however there is a Vividness slider which lets user increase this to level 3 within the Vivid Mode setting.  Not sure if you have  tried this.  some of the technical  details explained in this video:

Xbox live is a tenth of the price in Turkey. It's the world economy. I'm sure there are more expensive places than the UK to buy too.
