Overheating

Hi I just got my new s25 today. Have been transferring and charging and the phone feels quite warm. Not hot but a bit too warm for my liking. Is this normal or should I contact customer services?

I thought the same with mine when got today also was just when was doing the transfer seems OK now

Hi! Welcome to the samsung members community.

This is very much normal when setting the phone up, due to the amount of processing. You have a 14days return window so I would give it time for it to fully set up. If you're still concerned after a few days, contact customer support for a return.

As has been indicated above, when setting up your device for the first time, you are asking a lot of it.

Software updates
App updates
Battery provisioning
Downloads
Uploads
Backups

Network set ups.
Battery optimisation.

All at the same time as you're probably charging it too.

And at times it will be in your hands as your excited 👍😊👍

So yep, do give it a little forgiveness as it gets a little hot under the collar knowing it is normal 🙏

Ahh thanks I was just not too sure if I should be concerned, first time Samsung user switched over from a cr***y nokia lol but thanks for the info 😊

In the UK . I love a toasty phone. Given I have cold hands.

Having said that the to series has better heat management and I wouldn't worry too much about it as it seems to cool down pretty quickly as well.😊
