Notifications not showing in lock screen

While the phone is locked, I receive notifications for whatsapp, instagram etc, but not from my banking apps and email, which is critical for me.

I have checked all settings, showing cards instead of icons, notification categories, notification settings in general and for each app and they should be working.

When I unlock to see a Whatsapp message, the notification from the bank comes like it's new, but it was from 30 min ago...

Can you please confirm if this is a bug so I can return the phone?

Hey there and welcome to the Samsung UK and EU Community Customer to Customer Forum

This is almost certainly a settings issue but could be due to one of several factors....

You're the proud owner of one of the most customisable devices ever....

So....

1. Check the notifications settings at a device level (settings, notifications)

2. Check the settings at an app level (from your app drawer, open the app, settings, notifications)
2.1 also check the app settings for permissions
3. Do you have any routines in place that maybe stopping the notifications
4. Check your AOD settings to see if anything is getting in the way here.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion, I've tried all possible settings from general pov, app pov and battery pov. 

issue persists, running out of ideas where to check, any help is appreciated

I also see a lot of people escalating the same issue, might be worth for Samsung to take this as an issue because nobody in apple, xiaomi of google's forums have this problem..
