Contactless not working

For a couple of days now my contactless payments are not working. When I go to pay, the terminal cannot pick up the phone's presence, the payment terminal does not register a nearby device that is paying. Nothing happens is what I am trying to say.

I have re added the cards successfully and authorised them via my bank app.

I think there is an issue with the NFC on my phone. I have tried to reboot the phone, I have tried to turn NFC Off and turn it back on again.

I am at my wits end here, I don't really want to use Samsung wallet as I use Google services to manage my cards etc and it integrates nicely with Google wallet.

I have not tried Samsung pay yet, nor do I want to.

I have tried without a case on the phone, and I have tried on multiple different terminals across a couple of different shops. All to no avail.

When I read your comment I thought that sounded ridiculous. Opening the app from the quick access menu is the same as opening from the home screen.

Then I tried it. I opened it from my home screen - nothing. I closed it and opened it from the drop down menu and it worked!

How bizarre is that, but well done for spotting it @Piper123 . I swapped my phone out, I have had Google troubleshoot and it now works. However you shouldn't have to open Google Wallet to pay at all, but at least it's a workaround!

Totally agree and hopefully it is a bug that gets fixed in an upcoming update.

But for now, it works. Not ideal but it works. 👌

Still not working for me, either route.  I have noticed that unlike previously, if it needs to re-authenticate, it is only telling me if I open the wallet, so reauthentication may be a factor somewhere as well.

That's why I don't use face unlock with a Samsung. Fingerprint unlock then Google wallet should be authenticated for a few minutes.

Hello, everyone with an S25 series phone seems to have the same issue. Including myself. I am presuming it will be a software issue that will be resolved at some point. I obvs have same problem. It is not related to a case nor magsafe its a software issue. If i pay first time it doesnt work properly i move my phone away go for a second or third try then it works. Hopefully it will be resolved at some point. Its not something that can be resolved by troubleshooting because i have tried all of them myself
