I am in the UK and have just ordered a S24 ultra, unfortunately it will be going back without even opening it. I don't want a lesser phone than the USA! My S23 Ultra is Snapdragon, why oh why have you started changing the chip depending on location.
It should be cheaper and stated that it is a lesser phone.
Why should I pay a premium for a lower spec phone?
Get your act together Samsung nobody wants your chipset!

I can't, but people are free to have their opinions I guess. The Snapdragons will only increase the price or reduce functions and features if they become more dominant, so personally, as a consumer I do hope Samsungs next flagship SoCs compete favourably. There's a good reason Samsung were able to reduce the asking price of the S24 and S24+ by nearly £200 over the S23 and S23+, they never used the Snapdragon SoC. All this pro Qualcomm propaganda will only reduce competition and hurt us as consumers in the long run.

You should be more polite to people trying to help you

I agree but they shouldn't release it as the same model, I hope they do get it right soon, just release it when it does match the spec of the Snapdragon on the flagship phones.

Many thanks for your input. If you read everything you wouldn't have written this comment.

Hey there

I have both the S23 Ultra and the S24 Ultra and there isn't a great difference between the two other than the main screen.

S23 Ultra has a curved screen.
S24 Ultra has a flat screen. I personally believe the S24 Ultra has a better screen.

Cameras? Jury is out but my own view is that the S23 Ultra just about wins.

In terms of processor, both have Snapdragon across the world. There is NO Exynos in either device anywhere.

Hope that helps.

I didn't know about that, but now I have my first Snapdragon device and I can say that it's better in every way than my previous Exynos ones. Also America and China receive most of the Samsung phones and all the flagship phones with Snapdragon and the reviews from America for phones on Snapdragon compared to my phones of Exynos reveal that those phones are better and remain fast in time while my Exynos ones have been slow from day one and get slower while battery drains faster over the same amount of years as those phones. Can't say spec wise Exynos phones and Snapdragon phones are same, although some Snapdragon ones come with some features that Exynos don't have. As an all round phone I love the Note20U and I cab do everything on it, but I can sense the difference between my two devices, both with different chipsets. Also YouTube reviews on the Note20U on Snapdragon reveal few important differences as faster and battery life that are lower on my Exynos one. Prices are same at release date, although one runs a better CPU.

I agree with you mostly on the long-term effect of competition, but on the pricing, why is European prices higher than those in the US in real value, even though the US series all use SD8G3

Because like all tech that typically comes out from the US, the rest of the world always gets worse pricing. Look at CPUs, GPUs, and other electronic components, we never get parity. Ask Australians, they get it even worse than us.
