Just bought a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I have to take pictures at my tastings. These are the most horrible pictures I have ever taken with any phone!!! Sooo disappointed!!! I thought by purchasing a good phone I would have excellent pictures to turn in to my company. Instead I am having to take pictures with an A54. (second picture)There is no excuse for a high end phone to take such horrible pictures. This needs to be fixed!!!

There are several posts showing the issues with different zoom levels, 1X, 3X, 5X, 10X and sensors, 12MP, 50MP, 200MP. In the last firmware update there were some fixes but some of them still remained.
However, April's update is meant to have quite a few optimisations and fixes in the camera department. I just posted this, but it does not show on the page

Also make sure your phone has the latest software. Currently April update is rolling out.
There is a Vivid settings enabled in the March update.

I agree 100%!!! My Galaxy S21 took vivid super sharp photos without having to fiddle with settings, without having to edit them. I'm so super disappointed with this phone camera. I've got a baby granddaughter who's constantly moving, I don't have time to fiddle with settings. Photography has been a hobby of mine for many decades...I understand how to adjust settings...I don't understand why my old phone took such phenomenal pics and these are like going back to a Kodak Instamatic.

Mine is up to date, but still soft and washed out...
