Just bought a Galaxy S24 Ultra. I have to take pictures at my tastings. These are the most horrible pictures I have ever taken with any phone!!! Sooo disappointed!!! I thought by purchasing a good phone I would have excellent pictures to turn in to my company. Instead I am having to take pictures with an A54. (second picture)There is no excuse for a high end phone to take such horrible pictures. This needs to be fixed!!!

The S24 Ultra has so many different settings for the user experience. Did you just pick up your device, point and shoot? It takes a bit of time to get used to all the customisation.

Also, have you downloaded all of the latest updates for your device?

The cameras on the S24 Ultra are great. If you haven't already then update your firmware, check what mode you are shooting in also. You can also edit the photos in gallery very quickly and it can make a big difference.

Hi @pioneerdebbie

There are several posts showing the issues with different zoom levels, 1X, 3X, 5X, 10X and sensors, 12MP, 50MP, 200MP. In the last firmware update there were some fixes but some of them still remained.

However, April's update is meant to have quite a few optimisations and fixes in the camera department. I just posted this, but it does not show on the page

Shoot in 12MP mode if possible. There are some inconsistentancy with the 50MP mode

Also make sure your phone has the latest software. Currently April update is rolling out.

There is a Vivid settings enabled in the March update.

I have precisely the same issue. I've been a 100% Samsung girl for 10 years so was excited to order S24 Ultra 1TB. The camera and screen is HORRIBLE! I've done all the adjustments on settings etc. I'm just going to put it down to bad experience and bin it/ sell it and get a Google Pixel Pro. I've seen the screen and camera and love it. I know everyone keeps saying this is the best android phone.....but if you hate your pictures and none of the colours are true....I'm done with it

I agree 100%!!!  My Galaxy S21 took vivid super sharp photos without having to fiddle with settings, without having to edit them.  I'm so super disappointed with this phone camera.  I've got a baby granddaughter who's constantly moving, I don't have time to fiddle with settings.  Photography has been a hobby of mine for many decades...I understand how to adjust settings...I don't understand why my old phone took such phenomenal pics and these are like going back to  a Kodak Instamatic.
