Hello everyone,
The S24+ 's camera is horrendous. I feel scammed. The quality of the images taken with my phone don't resemble the reviews done on the phone's camera before its launch.
The problem mainly resides with the 50 megapixels lens. The colors shift. There's a loss in details and the shutter speed is low that some of the pictures turn out blurry.
I've tried with the image enhancement feature disabled but nothing changes.
You'll find attached a couple of images taken with both the 12 and 50 megapixels lens. You'll notice that the ugly ones are the ones taken with the 50 megapixels. The photos turn out yellow and are very different from reality.
Are you guys experiencing similar issues ?? Is my camera faulty ?? Should i ask for a refund ??

I just received my new S24+ yesterday and I'm having the same issues.
The phone takes beautiful pictures but 3 seconds later, the pictures are ruined with so much overproccesing.
I have taken pictures in bright light, with perfect lighting conditions and no matter what my settings are, 95% of the pictures taken at 50MP change because of the optimization process, leaving me with awful pictures that are just so disappointing and frustrating. I have taken beautiful pictures of my baby with my OnePlus phone and my husband' S22 phone, so I know what a good picture look like. With the S24+, my baby's pictures are oversaturated, dark, zoombie looking like, and with too much contrast. My baby doesn't look like a baby but more like a caricature zoombie.
I tried so many things and the problem is still there. I have changed the optimization settings, I tried Expert Raw and camera assistant, I have taken pictures in Pro mode, in RAW format, I cleared the cache memory in the camera app, you name it, I have tried all the suggestions I have found and the problem is still there. Shooting at 12MP doesn't seem to have this problem but I refuse to take pics at that resolution when I bought the phone with the idea of using the 50MP camera.
At this point, my only solution is to return the phone and buy a different one. I really wanted to love this phone but the camera issue is definitely a deal breaker.
I don't see Samsung fixing this problem any time soon. I'm not an isolate case but one the many out there.

Hi @Sumpark
There are some issue with the sensor and zoom levels. Next month firmware update is meant to bring a few fixes for the camera app.

Hi @Johannapd
Samsung released some fixing on the last update, and it is expected to release a few camera optimisations on next month firmware. See post above. It might not fix all issues, the zoom and sensor seem to be addressed on this update.
Samsung do release updated through out the update cycle. The S22 series just got another big update last January. So, I do not think that the S24 will be any different.

Common samsung tech guys tell all those people that they need to disable super hdr in gallery. 🤣🤣 Go to gallery app settings and disable super hdr option, and then try again 👍

You should feel scammed like all of us. Camera ability went back about 5-6 years compared to other competitors. I have not yet bought a new phone because I want to give them a chance but the update that should have been mandatory on day one (when they released the phone as junk anyways), is delayed to July.
If I bought a Nokia from 2008, alright. But I bought a 1000 euro flagship that behaves like it has been programed by a stone. I shot today quite a few photos at a family gathering, you know how much of them are usable? NONE. simply NONE.
It was morning, very good lightning. Horrible camera performance, We all got scammed and this will be my last Samsung product. Fool me once...
