I know this has been beaten like a dead horse, but I honestly believe it is a serious issue that needs to be addressed by the Samsung Group (Mobile/USA) etc.
The video zoom should not be jumping on 1x, 3x, and 5x zooms. Zooming (using the slider) is fine on all other x's in between (1.01-2.99; 3.01-4.99; 5.01-max zoom). I understand frame adjustments when zooming, but this is ridiculous. I traded in my pre-order (01/12/2024 Made In Vietnam) on 24-Feb, 24 and got one made in Korea (01/08/2024). I even showed the Verizon Store clerk both phones, doing the same thing. She had never had anyone come in with the issue, but she was shocked to see it.
Samsung: Zooming while in video mode should not jump, regardless of lens location, angle etc. It should be smooth and flawless. The update from 23-Feb did not address this issue. This should not be a "standard or normal function". Several "X" users have complained about this (Korea, India and now the US). For $1,299.99, this issue is concerning for me.
Don't get me wrong...I love my S24U, but trading in is unacceptable. I shouldn't have to trade in multiple times to get a phone that works. A couple of questions:
**Is there a software update in progress?
**Is this issue being review?
**Is there a fix that the S24U users can implement?

I've only had this problem for the past few days and the video was jumping without without zooming in or out or changing cameras. I just followed your advice and cleared the cache and data and now it's working perfectly. Thanks so much!

This issue is also prevalent with the whole S23 line-up as well. Funny how Samsung has not done anything about it
